Ability to lift 50 lbs+ – this is a very physically demanding role

Role & Responsibilities:
Assist with the loading and unloading of Habitat trucks, accepting of public donations; both of which could include heavy items such as; large household furniture & appliances.
Assist with the merchandising and set up of kitchens and/or other large items for display in the Store.
Help to take large items out to the sales floor.
Breakdown and dispose of unwanted items.
Ensure your work area is clean, tidy, and safe at all times, particularly at the end of your shift for the following staff member or volunteer to start their shift.
Assist with other tasks as directed by Manager or Manager on Duty.

We work as a TEAM at the Habitat for Humanity ReStores. We require all volunteers to be open to working with others, to be respectful and compliant with our organization’s operating procedures.
Please note: we do not provide any type of reference or confirmation of hours for high school, university, or job applications for volunteers who complete less than 50 hours.
