Team Experiences with ReVive

Let’s face it, work events can be pretty… bland. We’ve all been to trivia night, or dodgeball, or to a Jays Game with our coworkers – and that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with rehashing an old event. However, if you’re looking for something different for your group’s team experiences, why not try and add a splash of colour?

What’s a day like in ReVive?

When have you ever had an experience where you’ve learned a ton of new skills, helped out your community, and had an incredibly fun time all in a single day? That’s what a day in ReVive is like.

The ReVive Centre is Habitat HMD’s exclusive upcycling centre. It recycles, transforms and breathes new life into donated products and materials that would otherwise go to the landfill. As a green-oriented initiative and the very first of its kind, the ReVive Centre is an innovative new idea that helps the ReStores raise funds to support Habitat’s mission.

The ReVive Centre truly is a one-of-a-kind space, where people can learn how to rescue old furniture, paint, and salvage value in items that might otherwise be thrown away.

Corporate volunteer teams help us transform donated material and products that are in need of renewing, up-cycling or refinishing. They also take part in some of our special projects, creating items out of milled pallet wood. Teams have the opportunity to learn some incredible new skills and are able to flex their creative muscles in either our Workshop or our DIY space.

Our team supplies all the tools you’ll need to get the job done. Coffee, snacks, lunch, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE),  instructions and tutorials, are included in the unforgettable experience of helping Habitat for Humanity build a better future for families and individuals in need.

Previous experience is great but is not mandatory. Beginners are definitely welcome at the ReVive Centre.

Everyone at ReVive works under the supervision of our expert team of staff and volunteers. Specific training on tools depends on the tasks at hand during the team experience, but our team will walk you through the process every step of the way.
