Filipino Social Club of Oakville gives Habitat Halton-Mississauga a hand-up

Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga would like to extend a big thank you to the Filipino Social Club of Oakville for their generous donation of $1,000 to our organization.

The Filipino Social Club held a gala on October 27th, 2017 to mark their 25th anniversary helping the community,  To celebrate the milestone, all funds raised on the night were given to Habitat. FSCO organizers dropped by the Habitat offices a few weeks ago to present CEO, John Gerard with the proceeds from the gala.

The anniversary celebration was held at LeDome Banquet in Oakville, where guests were treated to a successful evening of food, music and entertainment.

Habitat for Humanity could not exist without generous supporters such as the Filipino Social Club of Oakville. Donors are essential to Habitat’s vision of helping the Halton and Peel regions by providing safe and fair housing for everyone.

On top of their generous donation to Habitat Halton-Mississauga the organization also donated $7,350 to Habitat Canada for their ongoing build projects in the Philippines.

Good work should not go unnoticed. Recognition of the FSCO and their efforts is important to promoting a strong community around Halton and Mississauga and encourages other organizations to think about helping others locally. On behalf of all of us here at Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga, thank you Filipino Social Club of Oakville for your contribution helping to support our build program.

There are many ways you can help us build homes for families and individuals in our community. Head here for all the details.
