On October 5, 2022, Habitat for Humanity Halton Mississauga Dufferin’s CEO Eden Grodzinski and Director of Government and Community Stakeholder Relations Jackie Isada, joined representatives from local Habitats across Canada in Ottawa to meet with Ottawa MPs to advocate for housing affordability for all.
More and more people at every age and stage of life struggle to find housing that meets their needs – whether it is social housing, market rentals or homeownership. Additionally, the lack of deeply affordable housing for vulnerable and marginalized people means they are denied a fundamental human right: the right to housing. With safe and secure housing, people become more financially stable and independent, and they’re able to transform their futures and their communities. We must build more, build faster, and build now.
We are asking for your support to keep affordable housing on the agenda for all elected officials to address our country’s national housing needs.
