ReStore Warehouse Assistant

What you bring to the Team:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs+ – this is a very physically demanding role
• Positive attitude, with a high energy level.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Willingness and ability to work in conditions including, heat, cold, and dust.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist with the loading and unloading of Habitat trucks, accepting of public donations; both of which could include heavy items such as; large household furniture & appliances.
• Assist with the merchandising and set up of kitchens and/or other large items for display in the Store.
• Help to take large items out to the sales floor.
• Breakdown and dispose of unwanted items.
• Ensure your work area is clean, tidy, and safe at all times, particularly at the end of your shift for the following staff member or volunteer to start their shift.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by Manager or Manager on Duty.

Important Information:

• We work as a TEAM at the Habitat for Humanity ReStores. We require all volunteers to be open to working with others, to be respectful and compliant with our organization’s operating procedures.
• Please note: we do not provide any type of reference or confirmation of hours for high school, university, or job applications for volunteers who complete less than 50 hours.
