Burlington, ON – Effective January 20, 2020 Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga is very pleased to welcome Jackie Isada to our team in the new role of Director of Government and Community Stakeholder Relations.

Jackie is well known in the region for building and fostering community partnerships. Some of her most notable roles include serving as the Chief of Staff to previous Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring and, most recently, the Mayor of Saint John (NB), Don Darling, where she earned a reputation for integrity, collaboration, and results. She has also worked closely with all levels of government to secure funding, cooperation, and successfully advocated for legislative changes.

Prior to that, she has also held senior roles in Economic Development in Burlington, Oakville, and the Government of Ontario.

Habitat Halton-Mississauga CEO John Gerrard comments: “We are pleased to welcome Jackie to our team. She brings with her an expertise and vast knowledge that will guide our affiliate as we work with government and community partners to advance affordable housing in Halton-Mississauga”.

Jackie will work closely with Halton’s and Mississauga government partners, stakeholders and the community-at-large to help drive Habitat’s vision: “A world where everyone has a decent place to live”.

I am very excited to join and contribute to a very dedicated team of staff and volunteers, who do incredibly meaningful and rewarding work every day for the communities of Halton and Mississauga. Creating affordable and safe housing for families to call ‘Home’ is essential to creating vibrant, thriving and complete communities for all of us.  I am looking forward to working with our government representatives and community organizations to create new and innovative opportunities for growth for sustainable housing”. – Jackie Isada, Director of Government & Community Stakeholder Relations.
