Habitat HM’s first big project of 2018 is currently underway in the Mississauga ReStore. Ontario’s largest ReStore, located at 4500 Dixie Rd. in Mississauga, is the first of our three ReStore locations to be undergoing renovations. We are revamping how the ReStore looks and operates. When the renovations are complete, we will continue to offer the same great service as before, but in a new, improved space that reflects our affiliate’s progressive mindset.
The ReStore officially closed its doors on January 3 for what was supposed to be four days.
Soon after closing, it became apparent that this project would take more time to complete the extensive renovations. As excited as we were to get everything done right away, we were not willing to compromise on the quality of our renovation.
Some changes to the ReStore are cosmetic, like removing the mixed flooring and tiles in the store and the new pallet wall, built exclusively from recycled pallet wood.
Other changes will transform the way we work, like our renovated cash desk, adding an information desk to assist with customer inquiries, installing new racking for our door and granite section for safer storage of inventory, and redesigning the layout of the store for easier and safer merchandising.
Our ReStore will now be better equipped than ever to handle the depth and variety of our inventory, while providing improved service to our customers.
Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga is one of the fastest growing affiliates in the country. Our Burlington ReStore has been #1 in sales in Ontario for the better part of a decade and our Mississauga ReStore is the biggest location in the province. We couldn’t be more excited about these renovations, and are now looking forward to re-opening our doors to the public
Don’t just take our word for it though. Come see the renovations for yourself, our Mississauga location is set to re-open January 13. Our hours are Monday to Saturday from 9 to 6 pm. For more information, click here.
